It seems like “tasty” and “healthy” are two qualities that have long been at odds when it comes to food. Thankfully, Lincoln Center’s newest merchant, Nékter Juice Bar, is here to change that significantly. Owner Mark Sarale and his son, Marcus, oversee the fast-paced operation, which boasts only the freshest ingredients and quality products.
The menu at Nékter is unique, offering an abundance of seriously healthy options, such as pressed juices, smoothies, açai bowls (pronounced “ah-sah-EE”), and even their version of ice cream, called Skoop! They pride themselves on using only fresh fruits and vegetables, going through cases and cases of produce each day. Even the cashew milk, which serves as the base for most of their treats, is made in-house, daily. And… the kicker? The treats are just as tasty as they are good for you!
Having worked in the health and wellness industry for over 20 years, Mark saw a want and a need for an innovative, health-conscious spot for the community. When he stumbled upon Nékter, he immediately aligned with the products that provided such variety, quality, and convenience to customers. The success that Nékter has seen speaks volumes to how good it really is. Members of the community have flocked to get their freshness fix from Nékter since it opened, like boxer Gabriel Flores Jr. and MMA fighter Nate Diaz. From UOP athletes to high schoolers, people of all ages enjoy the various options at Nékter. “We have something for everyone,“ said Marcus, “whether it’s a sweet, tasty smoothie for a kid – that you can even add vegetables to – or daily ginger shot or pressed juice. It’s a convenient and healthy means for anyone that’s on that walk of health.”
Fan favorites tend to be their handcrafted açai bowls, made with pure açai berries and fresh toppings, or Skoop. Skoop is dairy-free, contains no refined sugar, and is churned in an Italian gelato machine—making it creamy, luscious, and irresistibly delicious. It’s ice cream you can feel good about.
