We were extremely honored to meet this year’s Lincoln Center Scholarship recipients at a luncheon last month. From various high schools all over San Joaquin County we’re confident these extremely well rounded teens are sure to be successful wherever their college choices lead them. These beneficiaries are moving on with decided majors such as neuroscience, business, law and kinesiology to name a few. Their academic spirit and drive is truly inspiring.
The 2016-17 recipients are (pictured left to right): Jaime Castellanos, Pacific Law Academy; Aldo Perez, Tokay High School; Michael Reyes, St. Mary’s High School; Caroline Stephens, St. Mary’s High School; Lejla Pepic, Manteca High School; Annie Yu, Middle College High; Brooke Graddy, Tokay High School; and not pictured Jordan Stinhilver, St. Mary’s High School.
The Lincoln Center Scholarship Program was created to promote and support the educational growth of students in San Joaquin County. In its 4rd year, the scholarships are funded through proceeds generated at the Lincoln Center Classic Car Show held each August. This year more than $6,000 in scholarship money was awarded.
High school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher attending school in San Joaquin County were eligible to apply. The 2017-2018 Lincoln Center Scholarship Program applications will be available later this year.
