It all started with one big dream, two crazy cousins, and the perfect combination of flour, sugar, and chocolate chips. Sawyer Hemsley, Crumbl’s COO founded Crumbl with the goal to create the world’s best chocolate chip cookie. He teamed up with Jason McGowan, his cousin and Crumbl’s CEO, and dove head-first into the world of baking. After thousands of dollars in wasted dough, recipes that did not live up to their expectations, and cookies that are just plain embarrassing to them today, these two cousins decided to take the perfect cookie quest to the people. They would take the exact same cookie, change out one ingredient and ask random passersby at local gas stations and grocery stores one simple question: “Which one of these two cookies is best?” They continued this testing on ingredients and cooking methods until finally they came up with what they believe to be the world’s best chocolate chip cookie.
After creating the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, the very first Crumbl opened its doors in Logan, UT in 2017.
Crumbl has a rotating menu with 120+ specialty flavors in addition to their chilled sugar and award-winning milk chocolate chip cookies. The flavors are inspired by desserts of all kinds – from pies to cakes to candies and more. The secret weekly line-up is revealed every Sunday night on their social media platforms and website, an event which thousands of customers tune in for weekly! Each week is a totally unique cookie-eating experience.
