We're excited to announce the opening of Heirloom Kitchen - a breakfast and lunch restaurant focused on sourcing local, seasonal, fresh ingredients. The owners, Mat and Tori, chose the name Heirloom Kitchen because it fits their mission and inspiration for the restaurant so perfectly. The word heirloom invokes freshness and seasonal cuisine if you were to consider such ingredients as heirloom tomatoes or heirloom vegetables but the word also invokes the generational nature that is cooking. Family recipes are heirlooms that are passed down from generation to generation which is ultimately why they both have a love for cooking and have found a home in the restaurant industry. Both of their families have had strong, talented mothers and grandmothers who shared their talents and love through food and now it’s their turn to continue sharing that gift through Heirloom Kitchen.
