The guys at Joe Hassan‘s are amazing. They help me feel like a valued customer. I will continue to drive up there to get my work boots from the Bay Area, top-notch service, standup character, and one hell of a selection. I recommend everyone goes to Hassan.
A LEGACY SINCE 1947
Joe Hassan’s has been a cornerstone of Central Valley retail for over 75 years. Founded in 1947, the store began as a modest shop that carried everything from boots and hats to the essentials for hardworking men and women across generations. The store’s namesake, Joe Hassan, built the business on the values of honesty, hard work, and genuine hospitality, principles that remain deeply woven into the fabric of the store today. For decades, it’s been more than a place to shop; it’s been a dependable part of daily life for locals, known for offering not just clothing, but connection, service, and community care. Their growth has been slow and steady, never rushed, and always with integrity, so when they decide to open a new location, it means something.
MEET THE COUSINS
Behind the scenes (and often on the sales floor), you’ll find Kamal, Nick, and Eddie, the cousins who now lead Joe Hassan’s. Each of them started working in the store as kids during summer breaks, learning everything from folding jeans to running the register. Kamal and Eddie’s father made sure they all understood the value of showing up, being respectful, and treating customers like family. Today, that tradition continues with the next generation as their own kids now spend weekends and summers helping out, absorbing those same lessons about responsibility and pride in the work. It’s never been just a job, it’s been a part of who they are, and a bond that’s passed down. You’ll often see three generations in the store at once, helping customers, restocking shelves, or just catching up with regulars.
ROOTED IN COMMUNITY
What sets Joe Hassan’s apart isn’t just their selection, it’s their commitment to serving people who keep our communities running. Firefighters, construction crews, restaurant workers, and small business owners have relied on them for decades for high-quality, reliable gear. The store works closely with local organizations and departments to make sure workers have what they need, from boots to uniforms and everything in between. Their reputation for being dependable, fair, and generous is why customers don’t just come back, they bring their kids, coworkers, and neighbors.
WHY LINCOLN CENTER
When the team behind Joe Hassan’s started thinking about expansion, Lincoln Center stood out not just for its location, but for its values. “It reminded us of who we are,” Kamal said. “Family-run businesses, people who take pride in what they do, it felt right.” Many of Lincoln Center’s shops share a similar story: small businesses built on trust, family, and staying connected to their customers. The team didn’t want to compete or replicate what others are doing, they wanted to add something new, something that feels just as familiar and welcoming as their original store. It’s not about chasing trends or big brands, it’s about bringing that same dependable experience to Stockton, in a neighborhood that understands and supports local business.
LOOKING AHEAD
Joe Hassan’s Lincoln Center location is aiming for a soft opening before Father’s Day, with an official grand opening to follow once everything is in place. The team has been hard at work setting up fixtures, building out inventory, and bringing in all the staples customers expect: workwear, boots, hats, denim, outerwear, and specialty items like wallets, knives, and jewelry. Eventually, they’ll expand into curated pieces for women and kids, too! Their new space will reflect the same charm and focus on service that made the Lodi store a local institution. As a community rooted in family and small business, Lincoln Center is so happy to welcome them. Get ready to meet your new favorite neighborhood store, built on heritage, heart, and hard work
