Heirloom Kitchen is a breakfast and lunch restaurant focused on sourcing local, seasonal, fresh ingredients with dishes inspired by family recipes, delicious meals they’ve shared with friends, and crafted fare from their time spent traveling and experiencing new cuisines. This restaurant is a way to pay homage to the meals, restaurant experiences, teachers & mentors they’ve had along the way. Every dish has a story and is purposeful in its place on the menu.
They chose the name Heirloom Kitchen because it fits their mission and inspiration for the restaurant so perfectly. The word heirloom invokes freshness and seasonal cuisine if you were to consider such ingredients as heirloom tomatoes or heirloom vegetables but the word also invokes the generational nature that is cooking. Family recipes are heirlooms that are passed down from generation to generation which is ultimately why owners, Mat and Tori, both have a love for cooking and have found a home in the restaurant industry. Both of their families have had strong, talented mothers and grandmothers who shared their talents and love through food and now it’s their turn to continue sharing that gift through Heirloom Kitchen.
